À table! Edition IV
This week’s dinner ideas, all in one place
Welcome to À table! Edition 9 — your weekly round-up of simple, satisfying dinner ideas, all in one place. If you’re new here, every Monday I pull together three easy suppers to help ease you into the week — a little inspiration whether you’re cooking just for yourself or feeding a whole crowd.
This week we’re taking a gentle wander through a few French-ish favourites. First up: a Paris market salad with a dressing that adds that je ne sais quoi factor to your greens — the sort of magic that makes even a Tuesday salad feel a touch more special, no matter where you are in the world. Then there’s a Crispy caper and chicken paillard sandwich. Paillard is a classic French technique where you flatten the chicken breast until it’s thin and even — it cooks in minutes, stays tender, and stretches the meat further (very budget friendly). Pack it into a sandwich with crispy capers and you’ve got something properly delicious. And finally, a bowl of Creamy squash pasta — cosy, silky and exactly the kind of thing you want after a long day.
As always, my recipes come with full-length videos, so you can cook along at your own pace. And there’s a sweet treat (free access) included too, thanks to one of the brilliant guest writers I’ve had over the past year.
If you enjoy the series, leaving a comment or sharing it with a friend really does help. It’s one of the best ways to support my work here if a paid subscription isn’t possible right now.
Enjoy — and bon appétit!
