Recently, I found myself rummaging through my wardrobe in search of the perfect ensemble for an awards event—The Nibbies, the publishing world's equivalent of the Baftas or Oscars. I was tasked with presenting an award, a prospect that filled me with absolute terror. It's funny, really; performing a live cookery demo in a foreign language on national TV to millions doesn't faze me, but put me in front of a microphone on a stage, and my stomach starts doing somersaults. Despite my apprehension, I made the decision to push myself outside of my comfort zone and take on the challenge. And I can report back that I'm still standing after that nerve-wracking yet rewarding experience.

Back to the world of fashion, just as certain outfits are considered timeless classics (think of the iconic black dress), there are recipes that hold the same status. This recipe, much like a classic black dress, is super versatile and can seamlessly transition from elegant soirées to cosy gatherings. It can be dressed up with fresh fruit (a.k.a. the macerated strawberries) or devoured straight out the oven.
